  • The influence of dimensions of earthquake waves and damping ratio on the response time-history analysis of mega steel frame is studied through analysis of calculation examples.The result shows that earthquake waves should be inputted from three directions even for symmetrical structures.It also shows that influence of damping ratio on elastoplastic response time-history analysis is great and it is better to determine the damping ratio of steel structures by pilot calculation.
