  • The problems of dynamic stability of different cross-section and material of a column subjected to vertical harmonic load are discussed . The difference between dynamic unstable regions in different cross-section shapes and different materials is studied. Further more the influence of damping force and size-effect of rods on the stability of the column is discussed, and concludes methodology of calculating length of column stability is advanced.
