Experimental studies on four shear wall specimens under low-cyclic reversed loading were carried out,in
which high-strength rebar with the yield strength of 1 000 MPa were used in boundary embedded columns of reinforced
concrete shear walls. The bending bearing capacity,ductility, energy dissipation capacity and the failure characteristics
of high-rise shear wall with high-strength rebar were researched. The results showed that compared to RC shear wall
with normal-strength steel, the bending bearing capacity of specimens with high-strength steel used as longitudinal
reinforcement in boundary concealed columns was increased, and the yield and ultimate displacement were improved
greatly. Finally, the calculation formula of horizontal bearing capacity of high-strength reinforced concrete shear wall
with concealed column was given. The analysis results showed that the calculated values were in good consistent with
the experimental data.
