2011, 41(2): 45-48,56. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz201102012
Abstract:
Prestressed concrete pipes construction by hammer can produce high excess pore water pressure in deep soft soils because of violent disturbance and poor permeability of soft soil.Through analyzing the data of excess pore pressure in sites,it was analysed excess pore pressures distribution distance against the pile and along depth, and was also studied excessive pore water pressure change in different time of single pile construction. The analysis results show that the notable influencing range of single pile construction is about 17.5 times of the pile diameter, and the peak excess pore pressure does not necessarily appear at the end of the last section pile construction, and excess pore water pressure caused by the construction of single enhancement centrifugal pile dissipates faster than that induced by normal prestressed concrete, and 70% to 80% excess pore water pressure can be dissipated after 4 hours in the end of single pile construction.

2011, 41(2): 78-82. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz201102020
Abstract:
The stiffness requirements of the diagonal bracings in order to maintain the stability of longitudinal columns under the only vertical loads have been investigated in this paper. The lateral stiffness requirements of one-story and two-story longitudinal column-bracing systems without the initial imperfections were introduced.One-story and two-story longitudinal column-bracing systems under the only vertical loads were analyzed using the ANSYS program,in which two order effects on P- and P- were well considered according to the initial imperfections of the actual frames.According to the analysis results, the design formulas of stiffness requirements of the diagonal bracings for one-story and two-story longitudinal column-bracing systems were obtained, and a check method based on the vertical loading analysis was supplied for the diagonal bracings, which is usually designed by the longitudinal horizontal loads.

Abstract:
Inelastic analysis stability is carried out for tapered beams by ANSYS,considering plasticity developemnt, introducing the universal slenderness of beams in which the taper ratio and moment ratio are considered,a new formula of stability coefficient is proposed. For the out-plane buckling of tapered beam-columns,another new formula is proposed in which axial force and moment and sectional properties are taked from the larger end of tapered members, and the moment term in the formula takes a exponent that varies with slenderness and taper ratio slightly.FEM result obtained by analysis is compared with the results calculated from the proposed formula, and the result is agreeable.
ELASTIC BUCKLING OF WEB IN I-SECTION STEEL ARCH STRUCTURE SUBJECTED TO UNIFORMLY DISTRIBUTED RADIAL LOAD
Zhang Wenqi, Zhang Yong
2011, 41(2): 90-96,52. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz201102022
Abstract:
The I-section steel arch structure has been applied widely in kinds of projects because of its beautiful shape, good mechanical property and simple manufacturing. However, the technical specification for steel arch structure has not been put forward yet,and the current codes and technical regulations for design of steel structures include no technology items for steel arch structure.Compared to the web of straight beam and column, the normal stress and shear stress also exist in welding I-section steel arch, but the most difference between them is the geometrical shape of the web, that for straight beam and column is rectangular while the one for welded I-section steel arch is arc, which makes the behaviors different. When an pin-ended arch is subjected to a radial load uniformly distributed around the arch axis, the load primarily produces uniform axial compression. The models simulating the I-section steel arch subjected to uniformly distributed radial load were built, with which the elastic buckling coefficients of single archy plates were obtained under the conditions of simply supported and fixedly supported loading side, and the related formulas were obtained through data fitting referencing the theory of elastic buckling of rectangle plate. Then, the elastic buckling coefficients and the related formulas of I-section steel arch were obtained considering the arbitrary degree rotational restraints of flanges to webs.

Abstract:
A new type of concrete-filled steel tube(CFST) column-RC beam joint was presented in this paper. In the CFST column-RC beam connecting zone, the out steel tube of CFST column locally opened rectangular hole and stiffened, the longitudinal reinforcing bars in RC beam stretched into the joint. The concrete was monolithically cast in the region of the beam, the column and the joint. The construction of joint was simplified and the joint stiffness was strengthened. The wasted energy behaviour, failure process and the failure mode of the specimen members were studied by experiments. The studies showed that the hysteretic curves of the joint had plump shuttle shape and the joint did not fail when the specimen was in limit state, while the beam was damaged. The feasibility of the joint in the static load was proved. The joint can meet the seismic design principles ofstrong column, weak beam and stronger joint.

Zhang Jun, Liang Xingwen, Deng Mingke
2011, 41(2): 108-112,107. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz201102025
Abstract:
The clause of performance-based seismic design of structures was added to,Code for Seismic Design of Buildings, which proposed specific indexes of four performance levels and reference procedures to achieve the objectives of performance-based seismic design. In order to verify the rationality of the method,a reinforced concrete frame structure was taken for example, the bearing capacity of the frame beam and column elements as well as the storey drift of the structure were calculated. The results show that if the bearing capacity requirements of different performance levels were satisfied for the rare earthquake action, the section sizes and reinforcing bars quantity of the frame beam and column elements would be increased sharply.Similarly,in order to meet the storey drift demands of different performance levels for the rare earthquake action, the cross-sectional dimensions of the frame components would be increased greatly, which can not conform to the economic and rational design principles. The storey drift reference indexes proposed by the code,on the performance of 3,were low for the rare earthquake action;and on the performance of 4,were low for the fortification intensity earthquake action.
