Huang Xin, Ning Jian-guo, Xu Sheng, Lan Ming-zhang
2006, 36(7): 1-6. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200607001
Abstract:
Based on theoretical analysis and experimental research, a structure formation model of stabilized soil is verified. The model shows that: 1) structure of the stabilized soil from silt is formed by hydrates, which are generated by hardening agent hydration, wrapping and cementing soil particles and filling pores among the particles; 2) structure of the stabilized soil formed from clayey soil is formed by the hydrates wrapping and cementing clay particle groups, filling pores among the groups, and squeezing and filling pores in the groups. By the model, the relationship between dosage and varieties of hardening agent and the strength increasing law of stabilized soil can be interpreted reasonably. The model revealed that different kinds of hydrates should be generated by hardening agent for different kind of soil, which is of important guiding significance for optimization design of hardening agent

2006, 36(7): 7-12,18. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200607002
Abstract:

Also the influence of some chemical factors in soils on hydrates growing in the stabilized soil is discussed and the resolvent is given. Based on the above research, an optimization design method is proposed, with which stabilizer can be designed according to characteristics of soil samples

Huang Xin, Ning Jian-guo, Xu Sheng, Lan Ming-zhang
2006, 36(7): 13-18. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200607003
Abstract:
According to the structure formation model of stabilized soil, it is proposed that the hardening agent for stabilizing soft soil should generate cementitious hydrates to bind soil particles and expanding hydrates to fill pores in the stabilized soil; calculation formulas are developed, by which dosage of components constituting hardening agent can becalculated according to characteristics of the soil. The experiment results proved that the dosages of optimal hardening agent components obtained from the experiment were close to those calculated with the formulas, and the effect of the stabilized soil stabilized by the hardening agent designed by this method were much higher than that stabilized by cement.
INFLUENCE OF Ca(OH)2 CONCENTRATION IN THE PORE SOLUTION ON STRENGTH INCREASING OF THE STABILIZED SOIL
Huang Xin, Ning Jian-guo, Xu Sheng, Lan Ming-zhang
2006, 36(7): 19-24. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200607004
Abstract:
At same cement content, strength difference between stabilized soil samples prepared from different soil samples with similar physical characteristics obviously. Pore solution were squeezed from the stabilized soil samples with various cement contents, concentration of ions in the solution and strength of the stabilized soil samples were measured. The result shows that due to soil absorbing of Ca( OH) 2, the concentration of Ca( OH) 2in the pore solution may not reach to saturation, in turn the CSH gel generated by cement hydration may decrease; the higher the amount of Ca( OH)2absorbedby soil, the less CSH gel generated by same dosage of cement, so the poorer the strength of the stabilized soil sample. The influence of various chemical characteristics of soil on the strength of the stabilized soil is boiled down to the influence on the concentration of Ca( OH) 2in the pore solution. The strength of stabilized soil samples made from different soil samples with similar physical characteristics are almost the same when the concentration of Ca( OH) 22in the pore solution reach to saturation.

Li Jian-jun, Zhao Shu-de, Wang Tie-hang
2006, 36(7): 25-28,40. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200607005
Abstract:
As cement contents increase, the stronger the strength of cement-loess becomes. Wherever, incremental extent of strength of cement-loess with cement contents increment becomes bigger when cement contents are little and vice versa.Latter-day strength of cement-loess is worthy of being expected when cement contents are big or dropping energy is big.The effect of side-stress to improve cement-loess axial compressive strength is little. The effect of cement content to the optimization water-ratio and the biggest dry-density of cement-loess is also little.Water-stability of cement-loess(especially cement contents are big) is good. There are many new crystal-substances which are created in the cement-loess.The factors to affect cement-loess strength include ingredients of every crystal-substance content. From the constitutive relation of cement-loess,cement-loess has a critical cement content(about 12%).When cement contents are higher than the critical cement content,cement-loess becomes a brittle material through destruction-strain and distortion-module of cement-loess.

2006, 36(7): 45-48,102. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200607011
Abstract:
The usual capacity spectrum method of structural seismic performance evaluation can only consider the first response mode of structures, and the influence of high modes can not be taken into account,so the error is introduced.A new type of equivalent single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF) is set up using the equivalent mode and equivalent mode participation coefficient. Then the capacity spectrum method is used to evaluate the seismic performance of structures. The method can avoid the nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis, and can get more seismic information on structures comparing with the latter. The example analysis shows that the high modes have little influence on the structural response in the elastic stage but have major influence in the inelastic stage, and the example also shows that the response obtained using the usual capacity method is smaller than the actual response of structures,so it biases toward the insecurity, while the rational result can be got by the improved capacity spectrum method aseismic.
