Abstract: The value of technological history is the basic value of an industrial heritage． However，the research of technological historical value is usually neglected in the present works of China's industrial heritage conservation． It was attempted to point out and discuss four kinds of technology's historical values that should be embodied in the metallurgical industrial heritage's conservation by presenting the case of Iron-bridge Gorge． In order to provide some theoretical advice to the conservation and development of China's metallurgical industrial heritages，the characteristics of China's early modern metallurgical industrial heritage were also discussed
