Abstract: It has been long since Chinese building industry undergoing a messy time． Although the critical voice never stopped，the construction of weird buildings were still carried on． This paper analysed the characteristics of weird buildings，which had been widely discussed in the society recently，and pointed out the causes of their appearance and negative social impacts，so as to promote a scientific and healthy development of Chinese building industry．
