Abstract: Dutch architect Herman Hertzberger is one of the representative personages of structuralism architecture． The conept of using the deep unconscious structure in structural anthropology into architecture design，which stood for by Aldo Van Egck was succeeded． Furthermore，Hertzberger proposes a new theory of space design called Polyvalencewhich applied to his design works．
