Abstract: By analyzing the development of modern industry in Changsha，it was selected three cases of the representatives of different periods of industrial architectural heritage transformation. From the angles of the reservations of the building structure，reuse of function space，continuity of historical context，creation of a memorial space，the mining potential of the artistic value，it was also detailed the strategy of the reuse and renovation of the modern industrial building heritage in Changsha
