EXCAVATING URBAN HISTORY IN THE SITE TRANSFORMATION: TRANSFORMATION DESIGN OF MAOXIN FLOUR MILL IN WUXI

摘要: 人们往往可以从工业建筑身上挖掘出城市发展的痕迹。作为所在地区工业文明的物质载体，工业建筑的改造再利用已经成为当今建筑界的热门课题。通过对无锡茂新面粉厂的改造设计过程的分析，探讨工业建筑改造中空间的再利用、历史信息的挖掘、场所的改造等方面的内容，对工业遗产的保护再利用对城市文化复兴的意义进行探讨。

Abstract: The traces of urban development can often be obtained from the industrial buildings. As a material carrier of industrial civilization，the reuse of industrial buildings became a hot reasearch subject. Through the analysis of transformation design of Maoxin Flour Mill in Wuxi，the reuse of space and site probed into，the excavation of historical information in the process of reforming industrial buildings were probed into， and the significane of industrial heritage reuse to the urban cultural renaissance was explored.
