Abstract: Chinese national industrial and commercial development in the modern times is basically along the canal flow path,thus leaving behind the coast cities many industrial inheritances which are worth protecting.As the material carriers of the industrial civilization of the area,industrial heritage has already obtained people's acknowledgement.From the analysis of the superiority and the condition in the industrial inheritance based on the analysis and summary of the work of industrial heritage protection and re-use in Wuxi,this article attempts to discuss the significance of industrial heritage re-use to urban memory accumulation and urban cultural revival.
