Abstract: City plaza has represented more than the original significance to be the compound of complex function serving,city structure construction,city character expression and raising quality of public livings nowadays,and which is further emphasized by the speciality of a city center plaza.Taking the case of three plazas of Wujiaochang Subcenter of Shanghai to study the importance of the essential factors in the design of a city center plaza,molding the sense of a place and improving space quality etc to the design of such a plaza.
