Abstract: Innovation is the necessary way of development.It is useful for the substantial progress of architectural discipline that studying the methods of innovation of industrial buildings design.By analysing the innovations of petrochemical industrial buildings design recently,it is provided opinions that innovation shall be started from technology,design and evaluating standard according to processing development,the changing function and society developmentetc,and methods are also proposed,and at same time,it is pointed out that the development of related architectural technology and material should be noticed,which will lay a reliable basis for innovation.
