Abstract: The calculation formula on the minimum ratio of the reinforcement in reinforced concrete flexural members is deduced in this paper. And some suggestions about the minimum ratio of the reinforcement in reinforced concrete flexural members with HRB500 steel bar are proposed based on the national regulation of the minimum ratio of the reinforcement at home and abroad. The reference is provided for placing HRB500 steel bar in the Code for design of concrete structures.
