Abstract: Architectural concrete is a kind of concrete coming from a new technology, which uses the structural concrete as?the skin of the building without any other outside finishing, and thus makes the architecture and the structure be a unity.Architectural concrete is quite different from conventional concrete in many aspects, such as the raw and processed materials,the mixture ratio between all kinds of the materials, the mixing technique, the material of form, compaction technique by?vibration and the curing method.The outline of Tianjin Museum is introduced; the concept of the concrete is reviewed.The?features of architectural concrete are described and the development history of architectural concrete is discussed.Through?the engineering application example of V-shaped columns built in Tianjin Museum, the material, design and construction?techniques of architectural concrete are studied, and its future application is also discussed.
