Abstract: The original design of Haitian Building in Beian is a five-story frame building .When the second story was being constructed, the function of the top story needs to be changed and several columns of the top story need to be removed .It is introduced that the design idea of removing columns, design of the prestressed concrete frame after removing columns,checking and strengthening of relative columns and relative single-foundations in the original design .It can serve as reference in modifying the design of homogeneous structures.
